TN gov to conduct special entrance test for B. Arch courses

Anna University has announced that a special entrance examination will be conducted on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Government for admission to B. Arch. Courses this year.
The Director of Anna University Entrance examinations and the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Architecture Skill Examination, Professor P. Mallika has made a press release.
This year, the number of successful candidates in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) has been lesser as compared to the number of seats available for B. Arch. Courses.
So, considering the appeal from the Private Colleges Association, and as per the recommendations of the B. Arch. Students Admission Specification Council, Anna University has been given the authority to conduct a special entrance test – Tamil Nadu Architecture Skill test – in this academic year 2017-18.
So, in this academic year, the single-window procedure will be conducted for filling up the government quota in the B. Arch. Courses based on the marks obtained in +2 and NATA.
In case it was not possible to fill up the seats both under the government and administration quota, the remaining seats will be filled up based on the marks obtained in +2 and JEE-II. If there are balance seats still left, these will be filled up on the basis of the marks obtained in +2 and the Tamil Nadu Architecture Skill Test conducted by Anna University.
