State board exams for class 12 is likely to end. With that the state is all set to reopen all its special coaching classes for NEET, JEE and many other competitive exams.
Senior officials from the State School Education Department say the centres are set to get reopened on 25th March. There are 413 such centres present in Tamil Nadu where more than 20,000 students are enrolled.
There are about 4,000 students selected for these training at residential centres. There were over 9,000 students who took up special coaching classes across 412 centres out of which 1300 of them cleared the NEET exam. These students are notably from government schools and government funded schools.
To conduct these training sessions, about 320 higher secondary teachers from leading private centres were exclusively trained. These sessions were more effective than previous years. These 320 teachers gave out training to 4,130 teachers for conducting training for the students
It is to be noted that there will be a likely number of 1.4 lakh Tamil Nadu students to appear for the NEET exam scheduled for 5th May 2019. This is an increase in count by 17 percent when compared to that of 2018.
