The Tamil Nadu State Government Department of Education has ordered that transfer certificates henceforth must be issued only online.

The headmaster/principal of the respective school will seal and sign the downloaded transfer certificate.

The School Education Council has emphasised that the transfer certificates must be issued only through the Educational Information Management Website EMIS (Educational Management Information System).
