Fresh RTE applications from September 11

The school education department will be reopening its online portal for filling all the 41,832 vacancies available under RTE quota. Between 11th and 25th September, fresh RTE applications will be received. The third round of seat allotment will also take place. About 82,909 students are admitted under RTE quota out of the totally available 1.2 lakh seats.
It was on 31st May 2017 that the first phase of student selection took place. At that time, officials walked down to the schools to check how far RTE is implemented. As most students were not found to have acquired the seats, a report regarding vacancies was submitted on 20th June, as per department officials’ sources.
In the second phase of admission, the government will fill all the vacant seats, reads a statement from the matriculation director’s office. The second phase of candidate selection took place on 29th July. Fresh applications are now being invited. Applications can be submitted on www.dge.tn.gov.in.
These RTE applications can also be uploaded at offices of chief education officer, matriculation school inspector, district education officers, or school officers for free. They will also be able to access all the 10,000 odd e-seva centres in the state for uploading forms.
