Whopping 422 students from other states get MBBS admission

Surprisingly, it is found that about 422 students who have studied in other states have got admitted in MBBS courses through state quota. For this, they have provided nativity certificate as their parents hail from Tamil Nadu.
To note, this happening of enrolling Tamil Nadu students from other states under the state quota in large number is taking place for the very first time this year.
According to sources, the candidates’ parents have other states as their natives. They are perhaps migrated to the other states because of transfer or other personal or official reasons.
Earlier, it was tough for them to join in medical courses because of severe competition, as the admission was primarily based on marks scored in plus-2. Now, such students belonging to other boards are admitted in medical admission with their NEET scores.
In 2017 admission, about 28 students from the other states who studied in Tamil Nadu have got MBBS seats under OC category.
In the beginning of medical counselling, allegations spread that about 9 candidates have provided dual nativity certificate because they have studied in Kerala and Tamil Nadu as well.
