Written examination on 23rd September to fill up 1325 special teachers posts

TRB (Teachers Recruitment Board) has announced that the written test to fill up the 1325 posts of special teachers in tailoring/sewing, painting, music, etc.
Until now, the recruitment of the special teachers for these faculties was filled up based on the seniority list in the registration in the Employment Exchange.
This procedure has now been changed. A written test will be conducted for the 1st time for the recruitment. Accordingly, TRB has made the above announcement made on the website as well.
1325 posts of special teachers are to be recruited. The break-up – Drawing (327), Physical Education (663), Music (86), Tailoring (248).
The written test is scheduled on 23rd September.
Applications can be sent online. The website – www.trb.nic.in
Applications must be sent before 18th August online. (as announced by the TRB Director T. Jagannathan).
The selection will be based on the performance in the written test and the weightage marks – 95 marks allotted for the performance in the written test and 5 marks for the seniority in the employment exchange registration.

The successful candidates in the written test will be called for document verification as per the ratio of 2 candidates for 1 vacancy.
During the document verification, marks will be allotted based on the seniority in the employment exchange registration.
The recruitment of the special teachers will be made finally as per the performance in the written test and the weightage marks.
The details regarding the marks allotted for the seniority in employment exchange registration:
1 – 3 years – 1 mark
3 – 5 years – 2 marks
5 – 10 years – 3 marks
Over 10 years – 5 marks
No marks if the seniority is less than 1 year.
TRB has estimated that about 3 Lakh candidates may apply for the recruitment of the above 1325 special teachers posts.
