There are 2594 seats in the state government medical colleges and 1300 seats in the self-financed medical colleges for admission to MBBS course under the state government quota.

For the course in dentistry (BDS), there is a state government quota of 170 seats in government colleges and 1710 seats in the self-financed colleges.

The issue of application forms for admission to the above courses has been in progress in 22 government medical colleges.

Applications can be downloaded from the official website of the state health department. Totally 42,798 applications were sold as of Thursday. The counselling session is scheduled from 17th July.

The secretary of the students admission informed that today is the last date (Friday, 7th July) to get the application forms. The filled applications will be received till 5.00 PM on 8th July.

The candidates who have applied can visit the website – www.mhealth.org or www.tnmedicalselection.org to check the status of their application after entering the application number or NEET registration number.
