Supreme Court permits release of NEET results

The Supreme Court has granted permission to release NEET results. Earlier, the Madurai High Court had ordered a ban on releasing NEET results. Supreme Court has placed an interim ban on this Madurai High Court order and has allowed the release of NEET results.

The Supreme Court came up with this verdict after enquiring the petition filed by CBSE in this regard.

The Supreme Court has advised the officials to commence the activities of releasing the results and the admission process.

The Supreme Court has advised the other High Courts not to accept any petitions concerning NEET.

The candidates wrote NET conducted on 21st May in several languages. However, the questions in different languages were not uniformly based. For example, there were a lot of differences in the English and Tamil question papers.

So, a petition was filed requesting to annul the test and not to announce the NEET results. The Madurai High Court took this up and after enquiry, placed an interim ban to release NEET results.

CBSE appealed against this verdict to the Supreme Court. The case came up for enquiry today (Monday, 12th June) and the Supreme Court gave clearance to release NEET results.

With this clearance from the Supreme Court, it is expected that the CBSE will release NEET results in a day or 2.
