Summer vacation for high schools from 21st April

There are 3100 government high schools and 2900 government higher secondary schools in the state. The SSLC Public examination for these schools commenced on 16th March. This concludes on 20th April. The +2 public examinations commenced on 1st March and concluded on 6th April.
For the 1st ever time, the public examinations for the +1 class students was also conducted this year. The public examinations started on 7th March and will conclude on 16th April.
Thus. 20th April happens to be the last working day for all the government high schools and the government higher secondary schools. Summer vacation is set to start from 21st April.
There are 32000 primary schools and middle-level schools in the state. 19th April will be the last working day for these schools. Summer vacation for these schools will start on 20th April.
After the summer vacation, all the schools are scheduled to reopen on 1st June.
Generally, the primary and middle-level schools will function till 30th April. However, for the 1st ever time, 19th April has been declared as the last working day this year.
In the coming academic year (2018-19), a new syllabus is being introduced for the the students of 1st Standard, 6th Standard, 9th Standard, and 11th Standard.
Thus, it has not been announced so far regarding the training for the teachers on the revised syllabus will be conducted during this summer vacation or later.
