The results of the 10th Standard Public Examinations are to be released on Wednesday, 23rd May. The results will also be sent as SMS to the cell phone numbers given by the students/candidates.
The 10th Standard Public Examinations, conducted by the state government department of school education, commenced in March and concluded on 20th April.
19.2 lakhs girls and boys (students) and private candidates wrote the public examinations.
The correction of answer-sheets was completed on 6th May. Subsequently, the complete data was compiled with the district-wise marks, the final marks list, setting the process of release of the results. These activities were completed yesterday (Sunday, 20th May).
The results of the 10th Standard Public Examination are set to be released on 23rd May as originally scheduled. Also, SMS will be sent including the mark details to the cell phone numbers furnished by the students/candidates.
The results can also be seen online. This year, the question papers for various subjects, including Tamil Paper-1, were rather tough. Because of this, it is expected that there would be a rather steep reduction in the success percentage.
However, giving due consideration to the future of the students, the state examination department has informed that there would not be any difficulty in passing the examination – only the marks may change somewhat.
The ranking system is cancelled for the 10th Standard as well as done for the +2 results. So, the rank list of the first 3 rank holders state-wise and distinct-wise will not be made in the result announcements.
