Requirement of academic qualifications changed for lecturers in polytechnics

The state government secretary for the department of higher education, Sunil Paliwal, has issued a new order changing the required academic qualifications for the post of lecturers in polytechnics.
As per the revised order, to apply for the post of lecturers in polytechnics, the candidates must be 1st Class graduates in the relevant field of engineering (with 60% marks). In the case of candidates with post graduation, they should have got 1st class either in graduation or in post graduation. Accordingly, the candidates who failed to score 1st class in their graduation but scored the 1st class in the post graduation will be eligible to apply for the post of lecturers in the polytechnics.
It is expected that the TRB (Teachers Recruitment Board) will provide sufficient time for the eligible candidates as per the above requirements to apply for the post of lecturers in the polytechnics. With this expected extension of time duration, it is also likely that the date of the written test may get postponed.
