The National Eligibility Test (NET) is a test to determine eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts these tests on behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission) on the subjects of Arts and Literature.

NET is conducted twice a year in June and December. However, this year (2017) NET in June has not been not conducted so far.

Now, CBSE has announced that NET and JRF will be conducted on 19th November.

The details will be uploaded on the official website on 24th July. Applications can be sent online from 1st August to 30th August.
