NEET bringing down the Students seeking 12th Board Exam Answer sheets

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for medical admissions changed the entire scenario of board exam results playing a key role in determining the next phase of a student. This is very evident from the recent report mentioning a 50 percent decrease in the total number of students seeking answer sheets for re-evaluation of their marks. This year 58,000 students have requested the answer sheets and when compared to last year it is half the total number.
Even for the last year there was a chaos based on applying NEET for the MBBS and BDS admissions and so students opted for re-evaluation stood on a normal ground. This year the NEET confirmation made the parents and students decide against the re-evaluation as the medical and the related courses no more find a meaning in the 12th board exam results.
Physics, Chemistry and Biology marks of the Board Exams would make a huge difference in the admissions of the medical colleges. The re-evaluation was very essential for the students to make sure they deserve the marks for their hard work. As of now the medical admissions completely based out on NEET there is a drop in re-evaluation applications.
Chemistry paper was little tough this year and a slight down in the total pass percentage of the subject was witnessed this time. Border line marks were scored by many students this year owing to tough question paper and many below average students got failed in the chemistry exams in this year 2018.
In Biology there is no single full marks score crediting the fact to NEET and tough question paper. The Directorate of Government Examinations announced that the answer sheets requested fore-evaluation will be uploaded in the first week of June in the official website of the board. The Board has informed a slight dip in the total pass percentage of this year’s 12th exams when compared to previous years.
