1.40 Lakhs students have applied online for admission to the engineering courses (under the government quota) this year.
Computer generated random numbers were allotted to each applicant on Tuesday, 20th June.
As already announced, the merit list of these applicants is being released today (Thursday, 22nd June).
The state minister for higher education, Mr. K. P. Anbazhagan, will release the merit list at 4.00 PM in the Anna University, Guindy, Chennai.
As per the earlier schedule announced, the 1st stage counselling was to start on 27th June. However, the issues raised regarding NEET for medical courses admission and counseling has delayed this and it has been announced that dates for counselling will be revised.
Thus, the counselling sessions for admission to the engineering courses is getting delayed.
