MBBS seats raise from just 30 to whopping 1,310

Last year, there were only 30 MBBS seats, but now, students from CBSE and other boards are likely to have 1,310 MBBS seats as there is a whopping increase of 1,280 seats as compared to last year.
According to Supreme Court’s orders, the NEET based rank list had CBSE and old students being dominant.
About 2,224 students from the state board are found to be qualified for joining the total of 3,534 seats under the state quota. Out of the total count, 1,281 students are from the present batch and about 943 students are from previous batch.
Out of the total number of 23,832 state board student applicants for MBBS counselling, 2,224 are qualified to get admitted in MBBS seats based on their MBBS scores. The admission is also possible for 3,380 students hailing from other boards.
It was a really tough journey for the CBSE students to feature in the plus-2 marks as per the merit list, because they couldn’t score 200 cut off needed for MBBS admission. Officials state that just 30 CBSE students and from other boards had got admission under state quota.
They will acquire about 40 percent of MBBS seats this year. There is a change expected in the situation as the state board students will also give very tough competition henceforth.
