It is widely expected that the application forms to be filled online for the admission in engineering course may begin during the 2nd week of May.

The official news regarding this is likely to be released by Anna University shortly.

As a general routine, the distribution of application forms for joining engineering courses starts by the 2nd week of May and time will be given until 1st week of June to submit the filled applications.

However, during the year 2016, as the elections for the Legislative Assembly was held during May, the application forms for admission to engineering courses commencing for the academic year 2016-17 was given much earlier – 15th of April itself.

As there is no compunction in this year, the Anna University officials informed that the application forms are expected to be distributed by the 2nd week of May as usual.

As the +2 Public examination results are released on 12th May, there are prospects of the application forms for admission in engineering courses to be distributed from 8th May.

Anna University has decided to register the applications only online in this year as well. The counselling is likely to be scheduled during the 4th week of June and it will end before 30th July.

Anna University officials informed that they expect the regular classes for the B. E. courses for the 1st year students will commence by 1st August.
